Wrought Iron Pointy Thing, Vintage

Do you remember the little steel pointy things that used to be beside the till in every diner worth it's salt? You know, the thingy that they stabbed all the used receipts onto after you paid? That's right! Okay, now this isn't quite one of those - this one is wrought iron, really nice in a classic, vintage kind of way! And what makes it NOT one of those ones, is that this pointy thing is a "wall-mounted" version. Cool, huh!

So now that we have what it is and what it does out of the way - I will finally admit that I have absolutely no idea what to call it. Hanging my head in shame here - I've googled and gotten nothing but people calling them "pointy things". It suits!

Size: Backing piece is 5-1/2" x 3-5/8". Pointy thing is about 5" in height.

Condition: It's a very old, decorative wrought iron piece that was made for pushing paper, specifically old receipts, onto. There is a tiny bit of oxidation at the center of the piece. It was found packed away in an old box and hasn't seen the light of day or any dampness for who knows how many years. It's old and in great shape!

Warning: Not a toy! Not suitable for children or for mounting in an area where children might be playing. Yes, this is the kind of pointy thing your mother warned you about. Well, one of them anyways....
