Royal Albert

Royal Albert bone china was produced in the T.C. Wild & Sons Limited, Crown China Works (later St. Marys Works), High Street, Longton, Staffordshire, England.

Although the factory in Longton began producing china in 1896, the name "Royal Albert" did not appear as a backstamp on china until 1904. Before 1904, the name appeared as "Albert Crown China." This name has been associated with Prince Albert, who became King George VI of England in 1936.
