Royal Winton, Grimwades - Sandwich Tray w/ Butterflies and Spider Webs

My photographs of this beautiful plate are absolutely terrible! Please forgive me. However, in being willing to try almost anything to get a half decent representation of the incredible cobalt of the background in this plate - I did discover that turning off my desk lamp, and the cameras flash, resulted in a "Low Light" photo that does a passable job of showing the color. Now I need to figure out how to hold still enough to let the slow lens thingy work without the photo being blurry.....

The second photo shows a bit of the painting so much better! The painting is done by hand. Each plate (I have five at the moment - this serving tray, and four bread-and-butter plates) is also hand-signed by the artist. The back of the tray bears the green mark of Royal Doulton. Size: This sandwich tray or plate measures approximately 12" x 6-3/4".

Condition: Perfect! No chips or cracks. No cutlery marks. The glaze is crazing. Very finely, without any signs of staining. On the cobalt blue, the crazing is very near to being invisible, even on close inspection. There is one line, about 1" in length. I really don't want to call it a scratch, because I believe it is more of a "miss" in the clear glaze. I "think" that I can send a photograph of this - at least, I will try!
