Royal Winton, Grimwades, Flow Blue Plates w/ Spider Webs

Product Description

I had heard about this pattern, years ago.... Today I found a few pieces and could hardly wait to list it here in my store. Tiny blue butterflies, caught in a spider's web. The flowers might be pale begonias. The background is very dark cobalt blue, flow blue. The rim of each plate and the spider webs heavily gilded.
These plates are each hand-painted. There are no transfers used. The positioning of the flowers and butterflies differs slightly on each. Each plate is also hand-signed by the artist. I wish I could give proper credit to the artist. Unfortunately, the signature is illegible.
Markings: Each plate has a green backstamp. The circular "Royal Winton" framing "Grimwades" and "England". This stamp was in use from 1934 through 1950.
Size: Each bread and butter plate measures approximately 6-1/4" across the diameter.
Condition: I have 3 perfect plates. They are all lightly crazed. There are absolutely no chips or cracks. I have one chipped plate. This plate will be listed separately.
