~~~JANUARY "BLUE" SALE~~~
It is my first January here. My first New Year in this online store. Three years online - and now I have my own stand-alone shop! I am very happy.
One of my favorite things to do is to find wonderful homes for these lovely treasures. The name of my shop is Blue (Cherry Blossom in Blue), my favorite color is blue, and many of my thoughts are blue because it is/can be such a beautiful, rich emotion....
So, to celebrate all the "New" things in my life, the "New Year", and most importantly - my "New" Store and my "First Sale" - everything in my store that is "BLUE" is 20% off for the entire month of January! (This will include any new items that are both "Blue" and "Listed" during this entire month! Watch for them....
January 16, 2009: I'm considering something today. A new section for this e-shop. A "Dutch Auction" section. In this section I will put items which once in here, will be marked down once per month - until sold. How low each item will go will depend upon the item. There is still need to work out this idea - I have set a date for beginning as February 1st. I think this is a fun idea. I hope you will join me on the 1st and take a look at what I is offered. ~ Leslie
January 12, 2009: Now, I know that this entry has absolutely zero to do with antiques and collectibles. However, it is fun. I found a link this morning, on a chat site that I belong to. I thought I would share it here:
Just copy and paste into the address box of your browser. I did, nothing untoward happened except that I discovered a whole bunch of numbers and dates that may or may not have much meaning to anyone, including me or you. It was simply a moment of fun. I sincerely believe that we all need more of those! I hope this brings a smile to your day.
January 10, 2009: My apologies, I've been a little lax in putting any new entries here. Today, I added in a paragraph, to almost all of the "Section" pages, which explains a little about the shipping costs. I am kind of in a dilemma about the shipping. I have realized for a while that most prefer to not have the extra shipping added at the end of a transaction. That this is an "extra" charge. However, nothing is free and it is always the customer who pays for the shipping, whether that is put on at the end of the transaction or included in the price of the item(s). All that I can do here is to try to be fair to both you and to me. So the shipping charges at the end, are what I consider to be "reasonable." This means that some of the cost of the shipping is included in the price and a small fee is added at the end. It is, so far, the best solution I have been able to think of. If you have any other ideas, I would love to hear from you. Leslie
