"Pinky", painted by Thomas Lawrence in 1794 is, much as the ever-popular "Blue Boy" (Thomas Gainsborough) a painting that is so well known the face and name have become almost familiar. The little boy dressed in blue.... Familiar and collectible.
This plate was purchased by Creemore China & Glass as a blank from Unicorn in England. From the shape, decoration and glaze I would have to say that this piece is from the 1960's. It is in perfect condition; no marks, chips or scratches. Size is approximately 8-7/8" diameter.
