Creemore China, Blue Boy, Collector Plate - Sold

"Blue Boy", painted by Thomas Gainsborough in 1770 is a painting that is so well known that the name has become a household word and the face has become almost familiar. The little boy dressed in blue.... Familiar and collectible.

This plate was purchased by Creemore China & Glass as a blank from Unicorn in England. From the shape, decoration and glaze I would have to say that this piece is from the 1960's. It is in perfect condition; no marks, chips or scratches. Size is approximately 8-7/8" diameter.
