Product Description

Barker Bros. "Lily" Cream and Sugar Set - Bone China Tudor Ware, produced between 1930 and 1937 - Sold
This is a lovely little cream pitcher and sugar bowl in the chintz pattern "Lily" by Barker Bros. Ltd. of Longton, Staffordshire, England. The set of "Tudor Ware" is circa 1930s. The backstamp on this set was not used until 1930. "Royal Tudor Ware" came into use in 1937.

I cannot find another piece of this pattern online. I like that. It means that you are getting something rather rare and unique.

Condition: No chips or cracks. The glaze has crazed, lightly and evenly, over both pieces. This is a normal sign of age.

Size: The little creamer is 2-7/8" tall and has a diameter (from the outside of the handle to the edge of the lip) of 3-5/8". The creamer is a slightly six-sided shape. The sugar bowl is 2" tall and 3-5/8" in diameter.

Decoration: This is hand-decorated, hand-painted chintz pottery. The chintz decals are in a mustard yellow color. There is hand-painting of some of the flowers and leaves (in red, blue, yellow and green). The trim is dark mustard yellow. This is a bright and cheerful set.

Shipping by USPS / Canada Post ground service is included in the listed price of this cream and sugar set.
