Carte de Visite (CDV), Victorian Portrait Card - circa 1860s
Product Description
This is a treasure! This is an original carte de visite from the 1860s. It is quite different from those taken in the 1870s and 80s. This is printed on much thinner paper and backed on much thinner card stock. Very easily damaged! This one is in incredibly good condition! There is little to no fading. A little dirty from handling over the years, but properly album kept and absolutely wonderful.
On the Front of the Card: "W. Malby" and "Photo."
On the Back of the Card: "Faded Portraits Restored & Copied. W. Malby, Photographer, 155, City Road, London. Copies can be had on Application." This card is numbered "11131"
