Calisaya Bark Elixir.
Take 8 ounces of calisaya bark, 4 ounces each of orange peel, cinnamon and coriander seed, 1/2 ounce each anise seed, caraway seed, and cardamons; reduce all to a moderate powder, and percolate with 4 pints of alcohol, diluted with 12 pints of water, and add 2 pints of simple syrup.
