Birks Sterling Silver Candlestickes

A gorgeous pair of Birks candleholders in sterling silver. In Canada (as well as in many other parts of the world), the name Birks is synonymous with quality. This pair of small candlesticks represents that wonderful reputation. They are engraved around the base with flowers and vines and have a place which could easily be monogrammed (these are not monogrammed - yet!).

Condition: There is a flat spot on the side of one. The bases are filled with lead so that there is little chance of them being accidentally turned over. This also means that if by chance they are dropped, damage will occur. One of the two candlesticks has been dropped but the damage is very, very minor. It is a bit of a turn in the lip at the top. This is so difficult to spot unless you are actually handling and looking closely at the pieces. These would finish a mantle or a formal dining table with ease and elegance.

Size: These vintage candlesticks stand about 3" in height with a 3-1/4" diameter base. The opening in the top is about 7/8" diameter. Total scale weight 217.2 grams (including the lead in the bases).

Markings: Both candle sticks are marked "Birks Sterling" at the bottom edge.
