Birds on Nests, Novelty Victorian Earrings

Tiny birds, sitting on gilded nests. The birds are made using real feathers. Tiny garnets for the eyes. A clear crystal at the top of the chain from which the little nests dangle and glitter. These are late Victorian era earrings, but even more important than that - these are fun!

Size: From beak to tail, the birds measure approximately 1-1/2". The nests, about 7/8" x 1/4". Total drop, from the crystal to the bottom of the nest is about 1-3/8".

Condition: These are in fairly good condition. The tail feathers on one are a bit frayed, this is seen in the close-up photograph. The gilding is just a touch worn, not bad. The screw backings work well and easily. No bends, breaks, cracks or repairs.
