A lovely, hand-tinted, antique postcard. The postmark date is 1910! I love the old stone wall along the promenade....
Condition: The condition is good for a used postcard. The embossing from the postmark does show through onto the front of the card and that corner also has some light corner marking from album storage. The other corners do show a bit of rounding.
The caption on the front of the card reads: "Beach & Pier Seaview, IofW." (Isle of Wight.)
On the back, the manufacturer has a beautiful emblem which is marked "ETW Dennis & Sons Ltd., London Scarborough." The card has a series number of "2438." This is a used, divided back, antique postcard.
The Note: "Dear U. Thanks for PC. This is where I am spending my holidays. It is a lovely place and the weather has been glorious. I am going home on Sat. With love, Daisy."
