Antique Venetian Glass Vase

This style of glass blowing is sometimes referred to as Venetian and sometimes as Murano. This small and vase is hand-made, mouth-blown glass, made in Italy. It stands just under 6-1/2" in height. The colour is a bright cobalt blue. The white decoration is hand-applied enamel. Embroidery could not be worked any finer than these intricate threads of enamel shading in the sections of this design. This is an extraordinarily beautiful work.

This vase is in excellent condition. The pontel does have a bit of an edge to it. The underside of the foot is concave and therefore, this sharpness should not be a cause for concern. There are no chips, cracks or remarkable flaws. The enamel work is likewise, in excellent condition.
