Antique Postcard - Real Photograph of a Steam Locomotive - Sold

I believe that these old blue-backed postcards are handmade affairs where you could purchase the postcard backing and fix your own photograph onto them. I think.... This is a very poor quality photograph of a steam engine, running under steam, through a town. There were fingerprints all over the negative and a tear in the negative at the top right corner. Pencil lines were drawn on the card and the photograph was then adhered. Voila! A postcard! (Pre-Etsy quality...)
Condition: The photograph is in good condition, it is the printing which was poor. Maybe this was purchased as a kit to print your photographs and a child did this? However this photograph became a postcard - I have decided to like it! The blue backing card is in good condition with just a bit of darkening where it has rubbed on the opposite album page.
