Antique Postcard, Portrait of Couple - Sold

I am not too sure what I make of this postcard. It is a black and white portrait of a couple in Victorian dress, sitting in front of a doorway. The portrait is framed in a drawing of a stem of morning glories. Unfortunately, the photograph is poorly placed into the oval of the card. The whole thing makes me think that it might have been some sort of 'do-it-yourself' kit which produced a set of such postcards....

Condition: There are vertical creases running through this card. There are stains on the card. It would be great for use in a project. I am listing it here because I found it unique and interesting and I think that others might as well.

There are very few clues as to origin on this card. It is originally from England. The back is undivided. The paper is card, but rather thin and poor quality.
