Antique Postcard, "Marseille, Le Port-Vieux - Quai de la Fraternile" circa 1900

A lovely marina, "Le Port-Vieux - Quai de la Fraternile" in Marseille, France at the turn of the century. I believe this photograph was taken from "Gd. Hotel Louvre et Paix" (it says this at the top of the postcard) which is on La Canebière, an historic high street in the old quarter of Marseille, France. About a kilometre long, this street runs from "Le Port-Vieux" (the old port) to the Réformés quarter.
The boats and ships tied up in this harbour are amazing. They are mostly steam ships, but there are a few smaller boats which are sail only. The shadows are short in the photograph. I am thinking that this accounts for how few people are here. It is noon, on a very warm summer day....
Condition: Fair condition for this card. The corners are rounded and the edge show a bit of rubbing. There are no creases. The card has darkened considerably, but there are no albums marks. This is an original, unused, photographic postcard.
On the Front of the Card: - At the Top Left - "Gd. Hotel Louvre et Paix Marseille" - At the Bottom - "Marseille 9.- Le Port-Vieux - Quai de la Fraternile"
On the Back of the Card: "Photo.ateliers Baudouin-Vincent, Marseille."
