Antique 14K Gold Brooch with Garnet Cabochon and Seed Pearls

This bar pin or brooch is a heavy, cast gold piece of Edwardian jewelry. The garnet cabochon is a dark blood red and securely claw set into the backing. The six seed pearls are very nicely matched in size and color.

The brooch is marked on the back 14K. I do not recognize the stylized maker's mark. There is a bit of a bend in the pin, this is not affecting the working of the pin, hinge and clasp which are all in perfect working order.

Approximate size of the pin is 1-5/8" x 5/8". The central garnet measures about 7/32" or just under 1/4" in diameter. Seed pearls are about 3/32" or just less than 1/8" in diameter
