Alkaline Infusion. - Hickory ashes 1 pound, wood soot 1/4 pound boiling water 1/2 gallon. Let them stand 24 hours, then filter through a cotton cloth. Dose, wineglassful 3 times daily. A good remedy for dyspepsia with acidity. An antacid.
