8965

This un-named Royal Albert pattern, marked with the number "8965" was registered in England between 1930 and 1940 using the "Reg. No. 784772".

Bone china bearing the Royal Albert backstamps, made during this period were actually manufacted by T.C. Wild & Sons Limited, Crown China Works (later St. Marys Works), High Street, Longton, Staffordshire, England. The firm was founded in approximately 1894 and has always been known for the high quality of the bone china which was produced there.

This pattern is particularly lovely and vibrant with it's brilliant panels of buttercup yellow and delicious hand-painted pink flowers. The gold trim along the edge of the piece varies in width and is applied in a unique scrolling pattern. The shape of the cup and sauce is very reminiscent of the shapes we associate with the art deco period.

This pattern is currently sold out. If you are looking for pieces, please let me know and I will put your contact name on my wishlist. Please note: I do not sell information nor do I contact anyone unless I have something which I believe they would be interested in.
